The Department of Homeland Security has been forced to release a list of keywords and phrases it uses to monitor social networking sites and online media for signs of terrorist or other threats against the U.S.
The intriguing the list includes obvious choices such as 'attack', 'Al Qaeda', 'terrorism' and 'dirty bomb' alongside dozens of seemingly innocent words like 'pork', 'cloud', 'team' and 'Mexico'.

Released under a freedom of information request, the information sheds new light on how government analysts are instructed to patrol the internet searching for domestic and external threats.

However they insisted the practice was aimed not at policing the internet for disparaging remarks about the government and signs of general dissent, but to provide awareness of any potential threats.

Here in Utah they have just finished the outside construction, now working on the inside, of a facility that will record every electronic form of communication for storage for some ridiculous amount of time. Or until like what we have going on here where those under the current administration are actively going after citizens and groups. However, it's all better now because in an off the record meeting U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said to our formerly free press - we'll stop spying on you (the formerly free press) now.

Grabs my tinfoil...

This is a far more complicated thing than this article really is shedding light on and the truth is just because someone uses one of these words or several of these words does not mean you are going to be the subject of observation or continuing surveillance. It is not an accident , random or a witch hunt. Even if a communication that someone makes happens to end up setting off a buzzer as being specious on initial examination its going to be scrutinized before further consideration is given. There are literally trillions of communications to an exponential power happening every day and its impossible to monitor everything that happens in detail. Just remember that nothing that you do on the World Wide Web is private and I mean nothing. Its a good rule to live by.

Quite sure everyone knows that all media & governments are in bed with each other so we hear only they want us to hear...
Unless of course the MSM has gotten B**** of it's own & has decided to try and make this world better...
Lol... I punched myself in the face trying to stop myself from laughing imagining the above happening... :p
