I recently purchaed a D600 and the only FX lens I had was a Nikon 50mm 1.8. Great sharp lens!
Since I wa close to broke at this point I needed an inexpensive zoom to cover a lot of situations. I own Tamron 28-270mm but it's a DX lens.
After shopping around I ran into the lens in the title. It was only $199 USD but I needed something to play around with being new to FX. I was not expecting too much but am pleasantly surprized. Way better than the $200 price tag suggests. Here are two unretouched shots from this cool lens. The subject was 10 feet away and 1/125, 200 ISO, 300mm focal length. I used an SB-700 straight on from the hotshoe.
The only difference is that the second one was cropped. Nice and sharp and again for only $200 clams it's a super deal.
