This was taken at the Gulf Coast Gator Ranch in Moss Point, Ms. This is where several episodes for this years Gator Boys on Animal Planet were filmed. I was there shooting photographs next to the staff that were filming the show. I got to meet everyone from the show and talk with them several times and they are a great bunch of people.

I would like to add that Allen and Curtis that own Gulf Coast Gator Ranch are also very nice and friendly along with the staff. I live about 20 to 25 minutes away from the Gator Ranch.

I am going to re post these two pictures for those who haven't seen them before. One picture is with me along with Paul and Jimmy from the Gator Boys. And the other picture is a live gator that I wrestled after getting tips and instructions from Paul and Jimmy. I must say it was wild and challenging wrestling a live alligator! I might add it was close to 100 degrees when each of these pictures were taken. I must add that you shouldnt try wrestling a wild alligator like I did without having good supervision standing by in case things get out of hand!!!

I drove across the Everglades yesterday. I drove through protected Indian reservation land. I saw 2 small alligators. That's it. Two. Ours must have all gone to Loosianna.

I saw 5 gators at Wakodahatchee last Sunday. Most I've seen in the same day there.

One year we canoed some of the canals and saw more gators in backyard canals than in some of the wetlands.

This bird looks so depressed… Are you pestering him that much? :)

Actually I was sitting in my car shooting out the window with my 70-200VR with the 2x TC extender at the equivalent of 600mm with film. I am really liking this combination. Thanks Marcel and Pat for the comments.

Up close and personal with a Great Blue Heron. This was taken handheld with my Nikon D7000, 70-200VR lens and Nikon 2x teleconverter.
