Marilynne, this is my version of a vulture from this week. It was quite a distance and also with a big crop, but here it is.

Nikon D7000, Nikon 70-200VR F2.8 with a 2x 20E III teleconverter taken handheld

Actually they were filming an esisode while I was taking pictures and my family was on the front row of the seats, so they might be on the show. We all had to sign releases to be there. It is supposed to show this Sunday night on Gator boys. I might add that I went over and talked with them several times and they are all great and very friendly.

Cool heron photo. We have grey herons around here. Every time try to get a photo of one, it flies away before I can even get my camera out.
