Greetings, I have acquired an "unknown" lens on eBay as a way to try more interesting techniques on my camera. It is a former USSR lens with no markings. Not having any data on the lens, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. All I knew was it's m42 mount, and I also got an m42-F-mount adapter...

Thanks for the tips. Here's one I took the day before with similar parameters. I am still experimenting. I use a tripod, live view and cabled release. I've also been trying to shoot mars this week, but it's not very easy at 300.

Here's a shot of the moon with my 70-300 And that is a tentative of a shot of Mars with the same. 300mm ain't big enough, I will definitely need bigger.
