Well, Nikon have told me that my non functioning 18-200 would cost more to repair than it is worth by a pretty good amount, so... time to look at replacements. Right now the Sigma 17-50mm has my attention. Looks like it would be a good everyday lens on my D500. Any other suggestions? Sent...

My boss is anti-photography! I have noticed a disturbing correlation between bad weather and days off lately. He seems to have found a way to schedule me to be there on good weather days and off on the bad weather days! It's a conspiracy I tell you!

Shooting white birds in the middle of the day in full sunlight is probably not the best idea.

A few more. I struggled a bit with focusing, but I'm sure that will come with more practice. Another shot of my friend at a different location. It's a shame that I missed focus on this little guy. I like the shot with the wing tip dragging the water.
