Rocket Rick

First camera was a Hawkeye Instamatic back in the 1960s. Found my dad's old darkroom stuff and began printing my own photos. Bought a used 35mm Agfa and started taking pictures for the school newspaper and yearbook. Wanted to be an astronaut but too tall. Got into 35mm SLR with an Exacta, Nikon F, Pentax Spotmatic, Konica Autoreflex, Minolta SR-7, and ended film with Olympus OM-1 and 2.
Got into digital with a free Intel vga pocket camera that I used on sheriff search and rescue missions. Then bought increasingly more higher end pocket digital cameras and finally bought my D-3400 that I primarily use today.
Wanted to be an astronaut but was too tall so I became a science teacher, now 'semi-retired'...I miss students so for the past 10 years I've been volunteering as a mentor for university aerospace teams.
