Thanks for the suggestion, I have one of those I use for an OM-1 + 300mm lens, unfortunately the Z8 plus 600 is too big.

I'm looking around for a lens case/holster which will take a Z8 with 600 f6.3 with hood attached. Overall internal length required is approx 42cm (16½ in). The Thinktank Digital Holster 150 V3 is just slightly short at 38cm (15in) but might fit. I have a Mindshift backpack for this which is...
