I was born in Port Elizabeth South Africa and moved to Johannesburg in 1992. I started photography in the early 1990s with my first SLR Camera a Minolta 700Si. My first photography assignments were weddings. Weddings did not give me the personal satisfaction I was looking for and I started wildlife photography in about 2008. My first digital camera was a Sony A700 which I still have and use today. In addition I have a Canon 550D and a Nikon D7000. I prefer the crop sensor bodies for now and might look at upgrading to a FF sensor in the future. I have a mixture of Sony, Canon Nikon and Sigma lenses. I am busy with my first book aimed at beginners where I have attempted to simplify the photography process and explain how to take better photos and pictures.
