I had the same problem with my D5600 ... switching the tab on the sd card did not help, tried multiple cards - no help, tried "authorized cards" - no help ... put some electrical tape to cover the sd card switch - too thick. Tried regular tape - worked! Thanks to the OP for your insight. Now...
