Hello all, Can anybody explain me what the button FN is for? I didn't find it in the instruction manual. Also, I have seen through Google that the D3200 requires a firmware update. Is it true? Should I do it? Thanks folks!!!

Hello everyone. So nice to find this forum. I purchased my D3200 camera yesterday and I'm very happy with it. In the meantime, can anybody explain me what is the purpose of a small button called "fn" in the front left side of the camera? Thanks and greetings from Colombia, our beautiful country...
