I have a 610, with which i use the following nikon lenses: 50/1.4, 85/1.8, 105/2.8 micro, 24-85/3.5-4.5
i have rented and used the 24-70/2.8 and the 16-35/4, and the 35/1.4 prime. if i had to choose my favorite
of the lenses i own, i would pick the 85/1.8 just because i like taking portraits...
I own a 610 but I am renting a D750 with the Nikon 35/1.4 (wow, what a great lens) for a few days and have encountered a problem that has occurred three times in a couple of hours while taking only 125 shots: the camera has frozen three times with the monitor indicating an hour glass. I am...
Just saw this on Nikon Rumors: New Nikon Support article - Vibration Reduction (VR) functionality when using AF-ON button: "When using a Vibration Reduction (VR) lens on a D-SLR camera, the AF-ON button will only activate the cameras focusing and metering systems, it does not activate the lens...
After only four months, the autofocus failed on my 610. I brought it to Nikon and the technician receiving the camera inspected it and told me it would be covered under warrantee. He entered my personal information, gave me the receipt, and told me he would fill out the remaining information...
Set up the AE-L/AF-L button for back button autofocusing by selecting the menu for it and creating is as AF-On.
It worked seamlessly for about a week, and then suddenly it is working intermittently. i have tried it with three different
lenses and sometimes it works and sometimes it does not...
I received a disturbing private message: an incoherently written rant with a title that was meant to disturb. Other than deleting it,
is there something i can or should do so that this "contributor" is blocked? I assume others received it as well. Is there someone who moderates this site...
I'm going on a hike where i will shoot terrain, fall foliage, and maybe some wildlife. After, i am visiting a zoo for more photos.
What lenses or lens would you recommend i use with my d610? Is there an all-in-one solution or should i use a couple of lenses.
Remember, i don't want to carry too...
Posing a hypothetical question: suppose as rumored, the D750 has the 51 point focus system, among a few other upgrades to the D610.
Would you upgrade? Would the 51 points, spread out better and further than the 39 point system, be a decisive factor in your decision?
I am asking because I found...
Hi everyone,
I am the unofficial photographer for my daughter's baby shower to be held in a restaurant for 50 people. The
room is right for 50 but it is not a big banquet room. I am not sure about the lighting but since this is a restaurant,
I don't expect it to be very bright. I use a D610...
Posted this in the D610 section, probably belongs here. So, here is what i posted:
Thinking of purchasing circular polarizers for use with my D610 and nikon lenses. Anyone have advice which ones i should purchase:
Nikon? B & W? Hoya? I use the following lenses, all Nikons, with their filter...
Thinking of purchasing circular polarizers for use with my 610 and nikon lenses. Anyone have advice which ones i should purchase:
Nikon? B & W? Hoya? I use the following lenses, all Nikons, with their filter sizes: 24-85 f/3.5-4.5 - 72mm filter; 85/f.1.8, 67mm filter;

going to Paris, Normandy and Brittany for two weeks. Flying Saturday evening, thinking of which lenses to bring for my D610.
I have the 24-85 kit lens, a 50/1.4, 85/1.8, 105/2.8 ((too heavy to bring i think) and an older 80-200/4.5-5.6D that i haven't used
in years but it works on the 610...
Purchased and picked up a 610 from a local camera store and noticed the box wasn't quite pristine - nothing alarmingly torn, nor return tape marks, but
enough to get me thinking about when the camera was manufactured by Nikon. Called Nikon, told them the serial number, and they told me the...
Ordered the D610 with 24-85 kit lens and picking it up tomorrow. Has anyone had experience with the
WU-1b wireless accessory and is it worth purchasing? Does it work will with iPhones, iPads, apple computers?
what are the drawbacks to it? why purchase it?
Here's a question inspired by another thread and the answers therein. Do you find that the D600/610's clustering of focus points
limits you in shooting what you wish? Have you "successfully" adapted to it, or does it frustrate or limit your photographic style,
even shaping what you are...
