Self taught photographer. Learned how to use film SLRs in the late 60s and early 70s from reading magazines like Modern Photography, Popular Photography, PDN, et al. Developed my photography skills by reading books published by Focal Press.
Worked as a camera salesman at various photography stores in NYC. Employed as a darkroom technician developing 4x5 Fuji color transparency film in a Refrema automatic dip and dunk processor. Worked as a photographer's 1st Assistant shooting weddings and product photography. Extensive experience with 4x5 view cameras and 4x5 Polaroid Backs. Employed at a stock photography house. Personal shooting in following genres: Street and Journalism, Landscape, Scenics, Night, Photomicrogrsphy, Astrophotography, Macro. Currently involved in b/w film and DSLR photography. Mostly use Nikon equipment for my personal photography. Film gear collection: Nikon FM2n, Nikon F3, Nikon F3T, Nikon F3P, various F3 finders and screens, Nikon FG, Nikon AI-S, AI, E lenses, Zeiss MF lenses, Olympus OM3T, OM4T, Olympus Zuiko lenses, Pentax LX, Pentax SuperA, SMC Pentax K and M lenses, Rollei 6006, Rollei SL66, Rolleiflex TLR, Rollei 35T, Mamiya 67, Mamiya RZ 67, Agfa Optima 1535 rangefinder, Praktica LTL, LLC cameras, Meyer Optik lenses, Canon FTbn, Canon FD lenses, Konica TC, Hexanon lenses, Yashica T5. Recently purchased a Nikon D780, AF-S Nikkor 28/1.4 E for street photography. Occasionally shoot medium format film with a Zeiss 533/16. Am retired and do volunteer service with various organizations. In my spare time I paint with oil.
