I figured it out. When you program the button for Cycle AF Area Mode you have to press right on selector. It brings up all options you'll have when you press a8. Didn't find this documented anywhere. Probably a Steve Perry YouTube I missed.
Thanks.
Z6III, firmware 2.0
Camera has been worked fine for months. Shot last night. When I tried to change AF area mode with my button only 2 worked. Checked a8 and the modes I didn't see were checked to be on.
Tried in U2 I used last night (shooting manual) and manual, no change.
Now it works fine...
Can't get the automatic sensor cleaning to work.
Go to Clean Image Sensor.
Next menu, Automatic Cleaning Off. Click on that.
Next menu Off Clean at Shutdown, below
Cleaning off.
I select Off Clean at Shutdown, press OK.
From main menu select Clean Image Sensor.
Next menu Automatic Cleaning Off.
Z6III firmware version 2.
On U1, U2, U3, in the viewfinder, it shows subject detection I've selected. In manual (and amperture priority and shutter priority) that field is blank, no matter which subject detection is set.
Why?
Thanks.
Thank you. I looked on Nikon USA (parts.nikonusa.com) entered that part number and they don’t show it. I Googled it and yes that's the right number. Hummmm....wonder what is up with Nikon parts?
Part fell off Z6III yesterday. Looked on Nikon's website and only numbers, no description. Called and they want me to send it in. I think it is a part that commonly falls off.
Looking at the back it is lower right side just below memory card door. Rectangular.
Found at other places but they...
I set A8 (Firmware 2.0) Limiter AF Area Mode Selection to eliminate Pinpoint and all Dynamic options.
I programmed one I menu option for AF-area mode/subject detection. When I select that all AF area modes are there, including the ones I eliminated.
Looked through the manual, didn't see this...
