    Autofocus Button for MB-N14

On my Z6III I have the MB-N14. Would like to program the AF-ON button the same as the AF-ON button on the camera, which is set up for back focus. I set it for AF-ON or Same as AF-ON and it isn't focusing. I tried to program the Vertical multi selector for Select center focus point and it...

    Focus Question

Try back button focus. Normally camera will focus when shutter release is half way depressed. With back button you can set focus, re-compose and what you focused on remains in focus.

Should I shoot JPG or RAW?

You can set camera to record Raw on one memory card and JPEG on the other. You can set camera to record RAW on one memory card and JPEG on the other. If the JPEG is good, use that. If exposure, white balance or something else needs changing, you have the raw file you can modify.

    Wedding Photography a Dying Industry?

Yes, technology has made some aspects of photography easier, but the skill of the photographer is paramount. If one doesn't understand posing and hasn't mastered lighting, and doesn't know how to compose, they won't be a good wedding photographer.

It's GOOD to be back! Birding tele suggestions?

I use a Z6III with Nikon's 200-500. Works well. I Shoot a lot of birds and wildlife. It is supposed to focus slowly but I've never had a problem. The 180-600 Z mount gets a lot of great reviews. It is a bit expensive. If you can afford it I'd go with 180-600.

    Charging issue MB-N14

I charged both EN-EL15C batteries last week in a charger. After a week in the bag both batteries show 93% charge. Decided to try charging in the MB-N14. Charger has USB- C port. After 48 hours battery A is at 100% but battery B is still 93%. I understand A charges first, then B. Questions...

Wife and I were on a Dolphin cruise at Orange Beach, Alabama on April 13, 2025, and a huge flock of birds began pursuing the boat. I caught this one pretty close. Z6III, f11, 1/1600, 2500 ISO. Lens Nikon 200-500, at 200mm. Don't know why photo won't show in thumbnail. Click on it and it will...
