Thanks to everybody that suggested B&H Photo in NYC. I went into the store two days ago and was breath taken by the sheer size and set up. They have everything you could want and more. I was overcome by a serious case of NAS and ended up walking out with the D7100 18-105mm kit plus accessories...

I am travelling to the Great U.S of A. in October for a six week holiday and while there we are spending about a week in New York City (Staying in Central Manhatten). It appears that there are stores everywhere that sell everything... Its mind boggling. I will be looking for a decent sized...
