I cannot. Even when I zoom in I do not see any difference. Is full frame really that more detailed? If it is, I cannot see it. One is f4 at 1/60 and the other is f4.5 at 1/80. D7000 and Sony a7 D7000 with sigma 15mm 2.8 fisheye. Sony a7 with 28-70mm kit lens. Adam

That is what I have read but I compared the two in a store the other day and the fell is similar. I cannot speak for the optics though. I am interested in the D because of the used price-pretty cheap; however, the G is cheap too though even new at $750. Has anyone used both? Thank you, Adam

Looked at the cheaper ones like a sb400 and Yongnuo too but decided I wanted the "nikon" on the front. I have bought third party stuff before and always seem to be buying again to replace it.
