Today I am just wooped.... Church Christmas play wore me out last night... It was a blast, but being out like that can be difficult. Seems that todays weather and photo reflect that...

Gray mid day fog and a dog impatiently waiting on me to go for a walk, but she makes me smile.

Another Cold morning... but it is so clear. You can see Lexington and that tiny building to the left is the Hotel by Rupp Arena... SEC folks will know what happens there... The other photo is just something I like... I like how the sun makes a barren tree sparkle... it is harder to see in other seasons.

1967 Chevell, now that would have been my next guess mate, i take it some sort of chevy???

Yes, it is a Chevy. They were a beast of a muscle car back in the 60s and early 70s. We would hop them up and drag race them on the street and Drag Strip. In High School my hands were permanently stained with grease and oil. Fun stuff. My friend took two cars and made one.

Cool cars, for sure. And that's coming from a Ford guy. :)

That is kind of funny. I was a Chevy guy and my Dad a Ford guy. It was a little rivalry we had forever. We messed with each other mercilessly, but when one of us broke down we were both under the hood.

LOL. Yep. My uncle worked for Ford, and my dad only bought Fords until he was finally able to buy a Mercury. He was in heaven, then. :)

I fell in love with Fords when the Mustang came out, and when my uncle drove me to school in one, I was a confirmed Ford guy from that point on. :)

Today was warm but spitting rain all day off and on. I was at a loss for photos... then I thought of this collection of Bourbon Bottles I have from the days of the "Run to the Wall" and "All Vets Reunion".

If you rode to Owingsville for the first nights ceremonies on the Wednesday before Memorial Day a Vet from Frankfort, Ky would put a bottle on the handle bars or seat. So I played with them a bit.

I had to go to town today to run a couple errands. I started by the healing field and had to stop. Over the weekend there was a national project called "Wreaths Across America". Vets and supporters placed wreaths on the markers of the fallen. They included the state Healing Field in Lawrenceburg. It is a stark day today, but I had to stop. There are almost 100 flags on this field... Kentuckians fallen in the wars in the middle east.

I never have a good view of the western sky but last night I had a meeting at Church and I had the camera with me... almost missed the sunset...

Christmas lunch with a bunch from Church. Just a good day. Claudia Sanders was the wife of Colonel Sanders... The guy that started Kentucky Fried Chicken. Great food and home style service.
