Well I just got a Nikon ES-1 slide copy attachment.Easy peasey to use. My Nikkor 55mmMicro f/2.8 on a PK-13 onto my D7100, insert slide, focus, click, and voila!!!! Much faster than my Epson V600! here's examples of my first tries.

es 1 1st try.jpges -1 #2.jpges 1 #3.jpg

not too shabby. Next I'll try to copy them to color film.

Just took delivery of my new toy. ( sorry - essential tool)

I got a SkyWatcher Adventurer camera mount that enables you to take long exposures of the night sky to capture deep space objects like galaxies and nebula. It tracks and compensates for the earths rotation so avoiding the elongation effect you get when on a fixed mount. It only weights 1KG and fits on a standard tripod and it can carry up to 5KG (11 US Pound) in weight which is more than enough for a DSLR and telephoto lens.

Now just need to get a clear night so I can give it a proper go.

Interesting, where did you find it??? Interested in seeing the results and also a pic of the camera mounted on it!

I found it while browsing through some astrophotography sites.

Here is a really great review that persuaded me to get one.

This is it with my camera on.

In fact you can mount two cameras or a camera and a small telescope so its pretty flexible.
It effectively gives you an equatorial mount which is portable.

Really pleased with the new legs and head. Oben 2361 legs and Desmond db44 head. Compared to my current small but effective legs and head i now have a step up into a workhorse of a set up!!

A Walkstool: my cheapo is deteriorating rapidely, now replaced it with something 20 times more expensive. Liking it a lot.
Lowepro 200AW Lens Exchange Pouch: good to move the 70-200 and handy for changing lenses.

also treated myself on the next adapter for the A7s:

On my quest to get as many bird shots as I can this year, thought it would help if I knew what the birds were called, so a book off ebay.
