Single shot HDR playing around with photoshop...first shot I oilified them and manipulated the brightness and contrast and crap...second shot I was aiming for a good clean contrasty B&W...the camouflage goes real good with the grittiness and the wide open and waiting eyes are well just wide open and waiting...this picture is related to the B&W I posted the other night where his face is turned away from the camera...

Made with the legendary 105/2.5 K non Ai lens that I paid $80 bucks for! :)

The above two snaps in #123 are processed with photomatix so technically speaking they are HDRs I forgot to add...somehow by working them with the GIMP when I combined them with photomatix it made the result without the watermarks and I haven't bought the program yet!

I was able to make a few snaps today despite it being a rainy day...So I had the camera in the car with me sporting the 135/2.8 and while pulling into the driveway came upon a squirrel...the first shot is through the car window the second outside of the car but he boogied before I could get a good one...the third shot is through the backyard windows...the 135/2.8 is a good sharp lens with good background burning ability...I think I paid around $60 bucks for my copy!

Yes sir it is indeed...I'm having fun just using a single shot and mixing it up with the GIMP and seeing what I get...some of them turn out pretty cool. Photomatix is great I turned my wife's uncle onto it and I probably ought to break down and go ahead and buy the darn thing so I can get rid of the watermarks they drive me crazy. I still would really like to know how and the heck I got it to work on those two film shots without watermarking them the other night...humm...maybe it is because I used a film shot...let me get back to you on this I am going to try another film shot tonight and see what happens.

You know the more I look at that horse the more I am beginning to think he is fat...maybe I better quit giving him muffins...LOL

Here is a quick snap I took today with the 28/3.5 for my carlot job...the red garage doors in the background is where I have my upholstery shop...the 28/3.5 is a lens every Nikon user should buy and play with because they are dirt dog cheap...I think I paid $25 for mine off evilbay!

I have one of those lenses It has fungus on the outside edge of the lens, but doesnt affect the picture. I also use the vivitar 24mm/2.5 that is even sharper.

Well it is not the fact they were scanned...this was shot with an old Canon rangefinder it is on the turnpike as you are coming into town...they killed nearly every darn one of them and nowadays we have a damn statue of them... Really???

There is so much grain in this picture it is sick...in a bad way...

You're right Rick it is definately good material...I think they call this thing Chief Sapulpa for whom the town is named after..we got a bunch of highway pork I think and this is the kind of thing they build...oh well I guess we need a little culture or whatever.

Here is another HDRsim I made the other night from an old film shot...this is my stepfather and mother's backyard in Missouri...note there are no watermarks....what gives???

That is odd about the watermarks, time to buy and be done with it! By the way, I bought the "light" version for only $39 and it works great. I don't know if I'm missing much from the $99 version, but I like the results so I'm happy.

BTW- Nice spot in Missouri. I went to missouri once, 9 weeks at Fort Leonard Wood, was not a pleasent vacation :). Very hot, lots of flys and sleeping in tin barracks left-over from the 70's. To make it worse they had a really annoying guy in a big hat waking us up at 5am every morning to exercise no less! I fired my travel agent when I got home :)
