I love the texture of this shot, Kimmie. Just one small comment, if you will allow me....I would have given it juuuuust a little more contrast...to give it more definition, know what I mean?

I like to tone and color of the original but the contrast boost was a good call....
How about this Jack, I added more contrast, and a touch more saturation. I figure I could have gone with just the contrast
Yeah, this looks a lot better, don't you think? Ya made it pop more.
WOW! been a long time since I've seen a happy elephant on a REALLY BIG piece of Driftwood.

I do love love snow shots,You all were talking about snow shots...well if you need any lessons here is your girl...
There were many sheep enjoying the sun today, I like this one best because of the angle. Even though it was -12, it was a very nice day, I do love cold weather though. lol

Well, It has been one year today, since I joined this fabulous group of people, my how time flies. I got my camera last year, ( Feb 4th to be exact ) and for the first few months, all I did was pick it up, look at it, and say to myself, "WOW nice camera, sure wish I new how to use it!" and then I would put it down. lol Joining this Nikonite site has been the best thing I could have done. Since I started participating in the weekly challenges, and then the project 365, I have learned SO MUCH!!!!! I would like to thank you all for all the encouragement, advice, and general friendship that you all have shown me. A great group of people here. I am looking forward to another year of learning with everybody!!!!!

Well Happy Nikionites-versary! I know what you mean about learning a lot here. I have only been a member since January and I've picked up on a ton of helpful info. I can only imagine what I'll learn by the end of the year. You do take beautiful photos and I enjoy viewing them. Keep it up!
