Welcome to the forum buddy. Norway is such a fantastic country for landscape photography, honestly i think its one of the most beautiful countries. Will never forget my numerous approaches into bergen airport on a sunny day. Would love to make it up to the northern cap one day to photograph the northern lights. Maybe you have done that already?

I actually stayed one year at the northern tip of Norway while serving my year i the army. At that point I didnt have a dslr, so I didn't get good shots of the northern light. But we were camping in tents many days in -30C without a single cloud on the sparkling heaven, so we did see a lot of it.. but no photos from that time.. 
Ok, I'm gonna start a thread with old photos then.But I got a few questions then, I guess I could read the answers in some FAQ-thread, but I like to ask and get answers.. I take it that since this is a photo-forum there would be other resolution-limits than other forums.. Is there any rules about resolution? I've noticed that the pictures automagically(typo intended ) resizes to fit the forum, that I like!Is it preferred that I upload pictures directly to the forum or is it preferred that I use for instanse photobucket or something..? I got a photobucket-account and is used to use that way of sharing pictures..

This is the most photo sharing friendly forum I have ever been involved with bar none.
Get the target photo on your desktop, click the little icon third from the right on the forum task bar.....
Hit select photo until you have 3 or 4 you want to upload then hit upload photos.
Next bring your cursor to the lower right of your first image and hit the return button 2 or 3 times to space the photo apart. Then click on your image and you can choose the orientation and size of the image - I always choose "center" and largest. Repeat for each image hit reply and done!
Easy, you will love it!

Ok, I'll try this now.. Just a few examplepictures..
And bare in mind, I'm not a pro.. I guess someone with some better know-how would've made som stunning images with the motives that I get to see.. But I love to snap some shots, and I would LOVE some constructive feedback..
BTW: I couldn't find where to choose the size of the picture..? I got to choose to place it in center, but no size-thing..
EDIT: Also, all of these shots is taken through the windshield of the truck I drove at the time. I got some newer photos where I actually took the time to get out of the truck, hehe..

BTW: This is the gear I got at the moment..
2 X Nikon D3100 (one for me and one for my better half).
The one for my fiancé got just a kit-lense, and she's satisfied with that..
I got a slightly upgraded kit-lense with the AF-S Nikkor 18-105mm
The two extra lenses is one Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm 1:1.4 G and a Sigma 10-20mm 1:4-5.6 DC HSM
I also got a pair of these timer/remote things for making timelapses or stop-motion.

I'm from Denmark and have visited your beautiful country a few times during the last year and a half. With almost the same gear that you have. Remember good pictures is not all about the gear, and while a pro setup would be nice to have, a d3100 is really a capable camera. I can tell from the pictures I have from when I first got my camera and till my most resent trip to the Stavanger-Lysefjorden area, just about a year later and the biggest part of a 365-project later, my pictures had improved a lot. So my advise is to shoot, shoot and shoot (and maybe read a bit about how others are doing).
From your pictures it looks like you are already well on your way

Ok, here is a few more recent shots. They are from a trip to Sunnmøre, on the northwest part of the southern coast of Norway..
This is taken from the ferry that took us from Geiranger to Hellesylt where we parked the car and hiked to the very top in the center of this image.. It made me sweat, ALOT!
Almost the same spot as the previous one..
Here we are at the top, I kind of enjoyed the view.. 
This is a part of the hike we had to do.. The zik-zak part was pretty steep..
Oooh.. I forgot, this panoramas was taken with the cellphone actually.. I hope you can forgive me..!
And a panorama shot at the top.. I believe this is a view someone with more skills could've gotten more out of..
But hey, I think this one is a pretty good one..

Ah, I actually think that you as a tourist in Norway got a better opportunity to find good motives..
Cos' we're actually used to the scenery.. If you catch my drift? The nature and views doesn't take my breath away, well except when I'm hiking..
But then again, I love Denmark! Been there quite a few times now, last time in the summer of 2013 when renting a house in the middle of Denmark. And drove around all of Denmark with the misses and her two kids.
We visited "de hvite strender" or what it's called, and Himmelbjerget as well.. Some mountain!
But Copenhagen was the highlight of the trip, stayed 4 days at a Hotel there, just love that city. We'll be back!
