Well maybe not that funny. We need our experts on high tech to weigh in on this. Something going on. Can you shift them both in pp to look like each other?

These are the shots processed identical with both the same WB settings. The only difference is two stops of light added to the ISO 100 to have the same exposure. The aperture slightly differs and a car drove by during one of both but that should not be of any consequence. I have others where the same difference is happening.

As you see, they are pretty identical, as expected, so I have no idea why the auto-WB is that different for both originals.

Here are two others of last night. Processed identical but with WB as shot.

As you see, it doesn't always differ that much. In the first WB is close to identical. The second is as extreme as the first example I showed.

I checked them in ViewNX to rule out a LR issue and although all WB values are slightly different there, the same difference between both shots occur.

Whatever the reason, it at least made me wonder what would happen if I blend two shots that have a different WB. I blend the clouds of both together to create a more varied color palette.

I processed another shot I took of this one. I'm trying to get it just right. The colors are pretty decent and there's enough contrast to break the shot up. I'm pretty satisfied with this shot... at the moment.

This 24mm is doing a pretty decent job. They're really superb primes for the little money they cost. If you don't mind manual focus.

Sold min to someone who would get more us from it. When I had it I never used he lowen of the mm scale but always shot at 16mm so i changed to my 16-85 but it was a wonderful lens.

I only took the 24mm out today to check what it can do. I hope the clouds are still there tonight so I can see if the 1.4 makes a difference there.

What I notice is that it is very colorful compared to my others. Or maybe I'm seeing stuff.

I have to shoot some more with this lens since there's stuff going on I don't fully get at the moment. When processing I can't touch vibrance and instead of s-curving the RGB I have to pull the middle down. If I process them as normal , it's as if I swallowed acid.

I noticed it yesterday when I was processing some shots while thinking the CP filter did a good job there until I remembered I shot this lens without. I didn't think much of it until today. It's actually annoying.

My polarizer stays on my lens all the time except when I am shooting indoors. I feel it adds a positive improvement to my photos.
