I decided to redo this one and instead of using cheap trickery to cover the lower part where I lost a channel due to clipping, I decided to use that to my advantage. I think it adds to an already nice color palette.

Here's the SOOC with the clipping shown. As long as it is only one channel in the right area, it's usable.

Hmm seems I got a spot on the sensor.

I adjusted the temperatures a bit, the previous was too bland.

Still learning my D750 but I'm loving it...
It's a whole new world with this camera (pics have been re-posted from the Best of the D750 thread):

I switched my processing from the sliders and buttons to the histogram itself. It's actually a much easier, faster and correct way to process. I just move the shadows, highlights and neutral tones to where they are supposed to be without that clipping what wasn't lost in the shot itself.

Then all it takes is eventually tweak the vibrance or contrast and correct some temperatures here and there. I end with a pretty natural shot. Evidently the D750 capturing about the whole EV range helped too.

This is an HDR photo of the Gettysburg Battlefield. The Brian Barn is a relic of the Battle. The Pickett/Pettigrew Charge started from the far tree line (The VA memorial can just be seen.) and went from there to the center of the Union Army just to the left of this photo. Taken with a Nikon D7000, 18-55mm lens and processed with Photomatrix Essentials software.
