It is really amazing the kind of details that are present on things we see by the side of the road every day and take for granted. This is a seed pod for that weed that grows everywhere, buckhorn plantain

Nikon calls it MACRO, not MICRO.....just so ya know. :) So it's called 105mm macro.

Actually not. At least through the AIS versions. I haven't kept up with anything more current that that. They were all referred to as Micro-Nikkors. It is actually an incorrect term as "micro" is usually used to denote magnifications 5x or greater, but I guess Nikon had to be different than anyone else.

This picture is not upside down. The bee (or whatever it's name is) was really hanging on the flower on my tomato plant. Sigma 105 with Tamron Tele converter 1.4.
