no I just got lucky I suppose, Sunday was ugly gray and windy like no other. you would have never guessed Saturday was so beautiful.
Nice shots Misti, but I meant the date - 8/8/14.

Eastern Edge of the Everglades at the Hillsboro Canal
Moving to Florida in August, can't wait to start exploring! Of course getting out of the Northeast winters will be a bonus.

Love the bridge. How many trolls live under it?

Count me in. It would be a chance to see a bit of living history from a lovely place far away.Shall do.
i am English so I'm used to being surrounded by old buildings and ruins. My house is nothing special and was only built in around 1870. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that bridge was built around the time the Pilgrim Fathers set sail. I'm conscious we can ge a tad blase about our history - would the inmates like it if I started a "Jonathan's historical miscellany" (or somesuch) thread for me to post old structures as I come across them? There would be some doubling up of posts between threads but I'd be happy to host for you some of the architectural heritage of my ancient country.
