Each day I find myself looking forward to this thread. Our temps are in the single digits making me wish for the buds and blossoms of spring flowers. We did have a brief warm-up in the beginning of December which forced a few forsythia buds to come out. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me, and the blossoms didn't last long.

Thank you to those who keep posting these beautiful (and sometimes unusual) flowers. ;)

I am informed that it is Mirabilis jalapa or Common Four O'Clock -- a plant you REALLY do not want in you garden, unless that is all you want.

They're pink here, and you are right. Plant one and you will have thousands (or it will seem like it) in just a few weeks...
