As we wrap up 2013 - what was the best thread?

Other than my wife, who is always the best thing in my life, my introduction in to photography, Nikon's , and nikonites with all my friend here! :D

You all helped make this year awesome for me! :D

I can't tell without having access to the deleted threads.

We rarely delete threads. In fact I can't think of one that we have deleted. Some threads are moved and some are merged and some are closed but not deleted. Now we do delete posts inside a thread when they are inflammatory or totally inappropriate.

Of course my thread is the best thread!

I've learned more about general photography doing my 365 then I would've reading any other thread. Because I had to be an active participant.

Yeah, ok, I'm biased a little. :p

I've been here such a short time yet I've been quoted in five deleted posts. I'm dying to know what was said!

Well, it would be great injustice to point out to one thread, cos i've learned so much from very many threads here.
I can confidently state that i feel more comfortable with photography, my knowledge & technique.

Possibly the most i learned was from the 'Flashes' forum cos that was one area i had ZERO knowledge about.
The daily threads are really great, get to see so many styles of shooting and the beauty of various locations on this planet.

I think i want to take a chance to thank all the members here, who at ALL times have gone out of the way to explain things & make learning a pleasure.. with no snooty comments, sarcasm or anything negative.
i think that is the BEST aspect of this forum & the only reason i am an active member only here.

last but not the least, who can forget the 'off topic' forum.
happy threads and not so happy threads.

and a big thank you & sorry to all the mods :p
am guessing i've been involved the most in closed threads & one deleted thread :D
thank you for putting up with everything & i promise, come 2014 you'll have lot less trouble from me :)

No problem, without inflammatory threads us mods would all be unemployed :)

The threads where people gave advice in an open minded way and those were many, to me that's the best threads.

Big thanks to the mods keeping the place in order. Being a mod is a volunteer job where you take a lot of crap and are
rarely given any credit.

Any thread that has welcomed my dribs and drabs. I do have a soft spot for flowers and bugs -- both push me to see better and try to keep up.

But we get use of the company jet and the condo on the beach.

I really liked all the threads bemoaning the D600. Couldn't get enough of that.

:stupid:

Coming in a close second would be all the missing pistnbroke threads of the last 6 months.

Sorry. Winter solstice apparently amplifies sarcasm.

I like the Post Your xxxx Shots Here type threads because they allow us to compare a variety of compositions using different lighting plus I like the tutorial threads.

And anything with landscapes!
