Ironwoods Plod - 2013

I was outside doing some yard work, and noticed these Blue Mountain Parrots in one of the Umbrella trees that are in flower at the moment.
I manual focused all these. I struggle a bit with the small viewfinder on the D3100, so didnt quite nail the focus unfortunately.
Normally I would go back out and take another lot to see if I could improve any, but it is absolutely bucketing down with rain outside now, so it will have to wait for another day.

I especially like the last one very nice, colourful and interesting 
I too struggle with focussing manually the view finder is so tiny I'm sure I nailed it until I put it on my computer screen and realize I didn't More reason to keep trying cause when I finally get it I'll be doing the happy dance LOL

Yeah, I know what you mean about thinking alls good until they hit the big screen, luckily films cheap for these new cameras.
Thanks Marilynne, the lighting was a bit better for these last ones. Shows up their psychedelic suits even better.

Lovely photos.
Camouflage wallaby
They're funny buggers, they like to be up high and have their back up against something, especially when they want to have a sleep.
Must be so nothing can sneak up on them.
