I've been shooting with my Nikon F3 for a few months but have not been using a flash, I'm treating myself to some new photography gear so I ordered a Vivitar flash adapter so I can use hot shoe flashes with the F3.
I am only 19 & obviously not very financially stable so I always buy used / cheap equipment. The lenses for my F3 ranged from 45-70 & I couldn't be happier with their quality (you can find GREAT equipment for cheap on ebay!), then again this is just a hobby which I just do for fun, so I'm just trying to find a flash to use with my new Nikon 50mm lens. I have a cheap Diana F+ flash which is actually pretty decent, but I'm looking for something a little more unique that I can use from time to time to capture some unique pictures.
This is what I'm currently looking into: Amazon.com: Macro Ring Flash LED Light! Works with Canon/Sony/Nikon/Sigma lenses!: Camera & Photo
It's an LED ring flash, and being just over $30 I'm not expecting a superb and revolutionary flash. I've seen some "behind the scenes" music video recording in which they used expensive ring lights to get effects and was very interested in how they worked. Obviously this is not the same quality in the slightest, but for $30 I think it would provide a great deal of entertainment and inspiration for some neat pictures!
If anyone has any experience with flashes like this please let me know, thanks in advance:]
