Flash Trigger

I'm thinking about buying Flash Trigger (TTL metering).
Pocketwizard miniTT1+flextt5 is to expensive to me.
Does anyone have any experience with Phottix Odin or. Pixel king?
I have Nikon D800E and i heard that pixel king will not work with my body?

I bought the "Aputure" flash trigger and it did work with my D700. But, forget about TTL and flash synchro above 1/125th. If you want to benefit all your camera can offer, go for the expensive but proven Pocketwizard. It will save you a lot of frustration on the long run. Buying cheap and then having to buy again is NOT the cheapest option.

phottix and PK make fine triggers. I have a feeling PW wont last more than a year two before going bankrupt. all the tons of 3rd party flashes being released monthly are killing their sales. they had to fire a lot of people as well a few months back. yongnuo also have the 603II which are inexpensive and are very reliable.

a friend uses mitros+ flashes with the odins. only thing I dont like is you cant mount a flash on the odin transmitter. for me thats a deal breaker. I must have the option to place a flash on camera as well as off camera. for studio its fine. no one shoots with the flash on the camera in that setup. btw, the strato is also very nice. if you shoot HSS or need TTL, get the yongnuo 622n, if you dont need ttl/hss then go for the 603II theyre both transceivers.

Just make sure to always buy into a system that will allow u to grow. which means if you have phottix flashes and slaves, most of the stuff is not compatible with other MFR. so you couldnt buy a yongnuo flash, place it on a phottix slave and expect it to work.

Thanks!

Stratos looks like it allows a flash on top of the transmitter, but possibly does not do TTL. Can also use the transmitter as a remote shutter release, but I'm thinking that is a pretty basic feature on wireless triggers so maybe not that big a deal.

I just need to figure out how important TTL is...

I used the TTL feature with the 622n and they are not accurate at all. in fact I will say the same about the 568 flash as well. I never use it on camera anymore.
