Off Camera Flash Question

Howdy!

I have a Nikon D610 gripped with a 17-35mm F4 and 80-200mm F 2.8 and SB910. I am looking for a way to get my flash off camera. I am unable to hold the flash with my left hand. I have Cerebal palsy that affects my left arm and leg. I am searching for a way to get my flash off camera that is portable. I have had a stroboframe bracket but I have found it to bulky to use. Do you have any suggestions?

What do you think of this:

CB Mini-RC - Custom Brackets

I would graciously appreciate it.

Monopod for off camera flash? Not unless you have an assistant..Im assuming like most he doesn't ...So a lightweight stand and some basic triggers would do the trick..PW's are over-rated...

True, I would get a basic tripod that the legs pull out. I have one that collapses to about 10 inches and I have put my sb700 on it. You don't need a remote flash for the 910. You can set it up as a remote flash from your camera. Check your flash manual.

Actually If holding the flash up arms length is the problem than a monopod is not a bad idea. Some people call it a light stick. Most people have an assistant hold it but if all you want is a little help holding it out there than it maybe worth a try. As far as radio triggers. Get the Pocket wizards. Flex tt5. It's a transceiver so you can use one on camera and one connected to the flash. Advantages on running the flex and mini or both Flex are the use of I-TTL. Plus if only using the Flex TT5 on both ends you only need to worry about AA batteries which everyone carries. Using the Mini calls for using one of those coin shaped batteries which maybe hard to find if you find yours dead.
