F/N75 lenses?

I am a little confused by what lenses can be used with my F75. I have various lenses for my D90 but do not want to waste film by putting something on that might not work properly. I read somewhere that my 50mm 1.8D will work and somewhere else that it won't and will cause vignetting. So, I am a little confused.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Pretty much every post 70s AI/Ai-s lens will work.
I used to use an F/n 65 with my Dx lenses until recently(the CR2 batteries ran out - and they're not easily available locally).
Worked like a charm, and don't pay heed to the naysayers, the 50 f1.8 cannot vignette on either Dx or full frame/ film bodies.

Any lens with “DX” as part of its designation will probably have vignetting issues, as those lenses are only designed to cover the smaller DX-sized sensors, and not a full-sized 35mm film frame.

The only other issue I would expect any older Nikon body to have with newer lenses would be the lack of aperture control with G-type lenses (no manual aperture ring on the lens) mounted, but looking up the F75 on the Wikipedia, I note that the picture in that article shows one with a G-type lens, so I assume this means that it is supposed to work with one.

Thanks for your replies. I'm glad that my 50mm 1.8D will work OK. As for 'G' type lenses, the camera came with the 28-80 3.3-5.6G. So presumably it will work OK. I can get the CR2 batteries fairly easily in the UK but don't know for how much longer. Anyway, we are moving to Canada next year so I might have to think about one of those battery grip things (Mb-18), they take normal AA batteries. The grip is quite expensive though, a lot more than I paid for the camera.

Thanks

I have an F80 (technically it's my wife's) and that works with G lenses without a problem. The lens that is on it most though is a 50mm f/1.8D. One thing I hadn't expected is that it is less compatible with some older AI, AIS lenses than my D7100. It won't meter with either my 55mm f/2.8 macro lens or Series E 70-210mm f/4. If I had a light meter I could still use them but
would just be guessing the exposure and wasting lots of film.

I don't know how similar the F80 and F75 are but I'd check its ability to meter with non CPU lenses.

I have just seen a CR2 charger on ebay for £19.39 post free. Comes with two CR2 batteries. The blurb states that only their batteries can be used with the charger and they are charging £10.29 for ONE extra battery. Surely a charger is a charger is a charger?
