That's likely a program that got installed onto your computer. Check your REMOVE programs for anything that looks suspicious. It happens sometimes where an unwanted program that does those "suggested" sites or "suggested" definitions gets installed and helps promote another source.

ADDITION: On second thought, if this site is the only one where you're experiencing this problem then it's probably not the program thing I was referring to. Go to a site with lots of text and see if you get the same thing on those sites. If not then it might be something with Nikonites. If you do, then it's probably one of those unwanted suggestion programs.

It is a very bad practice to use Internet Explorer for general web browsing.

Consider Microsoft's Windows Update web site. Visiting this site with Internet Explorer allows you to download and install updates to the Windows Operating system from entirely within the browser.

Think about what this means. This web browser—the same one you may be using to visit other sites of varying degrees of repute, has the power to alter the operating system itself, on the basis of what a web site offers it. As easily as it can download and install legitimate updates from Microsoft, it can download and install malicious software from some dodgy site that you may have visited.

The only thing you should be doing with Internet Explorer, other than using it to visit only Microsoft's own update sites that require it, is to download and install a different browser to be used for everything else.

I've preached this for so long; why web-browser/Operating System integration is BAD, BAD, BAD and on soooo many levels. It's kinda nice to see someone else come along beating that drum!

And let's not forget even legitimate websites can be unwitting partners in the spread of malicious software. You don't have to go looking on the Dark Side of the web in order to pick up some nasty bit of malicious software, the Dark Side is happily, and actively, seeking you out.

All I can say Bob is "wow"
No other words can describe such a posting as yours.

What you have though sounds like malware or a virus possibly installed when downloading some application you have installed recently, or clicking on a malicious link etc.
Cross browser infections like this are more wide spread these days and only precautions you take as a user will help stop this spreading this on your PCs laptops etc.
Instead of logging onto your device with an account with admin rights, use a standard user account which then forces you to enter admin credentials if anything needs to be installed. That way you can be sure that things are not just being installed in the background without your knowledge.

I have been getting video ad pop ups on my desk top and only in this forum. I can't do anything till I click the ad and it goes to a new tab. Sometimes script time runs out.
