I rented the D810 with the Nikkor 14-24mm lens today. Pictures came out nice, but they are not much better than pictures you can get from much cheaper cameras. I am wondering if my pictures came out worse, since I could not DL pictures onto my computer in RAW. Be that as it may, for a $3300 camera and $1800 lens, you should get a lot better JPGs. My T3i had pictures that were not that far off from the D810's. As a result, I am disappointed. The D810 should only be $1500 and the lens should be $750. Camera companies are gouging prices. You can get very nice pics out of smart phones now. Camera companies who make these "higher-end" cameras might go extinct.
