Nikon D800e help

Hello to all. I purchased a used Nikon D800e recently, I have noticed on my metadata a gents name, maybe the previous owner,I would like help to remove the name, if possible, can anyone assist. Thank you.

Look under the setup menu (the 'wrench' menu). Look for copyright and artist info. Put your own name in if you want. Or tell the camera not to attach it.

From Ken Rockwell: "Find the two green dots on the QUAL[SIZE=+3][/SIZE] and +/-[SIZE=+3][/SIZE]buttons on the top of the camera. Hold them both down for a few seconds. The LCD blinks and almost everything is back to Nikon's defaults."

I don't know if that works to erase the copyright info, but it's a good idea to reset any used camera you buy just in case the previous owner changed something funky.

You should put your own name and phone in the copyright /artists space it a quick way to prove its your camera if its stolen and the thief moves it on eventually to be found by the police
