D800E & Eye-fi card

I am hoping someone can help me.

I am considering getting an eye-fi card for my D800E but my question is, am I able to transfer photos from the CF card slot via the SD slotted eye-fi card? I want to use my CF card as the main storage and transfer the photos via the eye-fi SD card! I am thinking that they can only be transferred if they are on the eye-fi SD card but am hoping I am wrong.

I would think they have to be on the EyeFi card.

On the shooting menu, select CF for the primary slot selection.

Select RAW primary, Jpeg secondary on the Secondary slot function which is now the role of your SD card slot.

That should transfer jpeg files on your Eye fi card.

If you don't like that, you can assign the secondary as back up.
