Can some 1 help with D80

I have a Nikon D80 I have very little knowledge about the camera, I used it for a while in auto but have started trying it in manual,I have got a few good photos but I don't have a clue how I achieved them now I can't get a clear photo even when I put it back in auto!!!!!! what have I done to it can......anyone help it's getting me so frustrated i have been trying for a few days now....am thinking of going back to my little aim and shoot camera

I think you should be able to hit the reset option to send it back to factory settings. From what I've heard most nikons have that as an option. If so hopefully that ought to fix it for you. :)
 
It would also help if you posted a picture with the EXIF data. If you follow the direction below the EXIF data should be readable by us also.

Guidelines to adding a photo to your post.

1. Resize photo to 1000px on the long side. (very important)
2. Resolution set to 72dpi

These guidelines will be good for viewing on a computer but will not be good for printing. This will help safeguard your copyright.

After you reset your camera, go to the menu, set white balance to auto, auto ISO, min sensitivity 100 max 800. You can start with P mode. Good luck.
