Memory Card For a D7500

I currently shoot mainly with a D7500 and have a D7200 for backup. See image of my current memory card being used in both. Recently on a couple of occassions I got a brief error with the card using my D7500 "couldn't read the card", I turned off the camera, removed the card and started backup again no issues for a couple of days. Happened again, but since then no issues. Basically is it time to replace my two current cards, if so I am looking to buy the best card that would work well in both bodies. With the FPS being a fair bit higher in the D7500 than the D7200 is there card that would work better when shooting either. I was planning on buying at least 2 new ones with my upcoming trip to Newfoundland. Thanks for any info.

* Maybe my current cards are good enough and I just need to buy the same but new ones. I have had these for a few years now.

You are formatting the card in camera, I assume? A card formatted in the D7500 won’t work well in the D7200 and vice versa.

There are so many SD cards available I’m not sure what to recommend. I like the Pro Grade v90 class cards.

I am using that exact card as the primary for my Z5. I keep an even slower SanDisk 32GB in the secondary slot for the jpegs. I always format my cards in the camera, and I reformat the cards from time to time in the camera. It only takes 10 seconds and is the easiest way I have found the clear the photos on the cards.

Did you check the switch on the side of the card to be sure it was fully in the unlock position? Sometimes my switch will hit the side of the slot when inserting the card into either a body or my card reader and cause it to partially lock. Then I run into error messages.

Personally I use SanDisk cards after having a few problems with Lexar although many people swear by Lexar.

Well that will stop for sure, maybe that is what caused the brief issue with my card. I will buy two new ones for the D7200 alone and leave them in their. Thankyou.
