Driving to Wagga Wagga Australia for my Son's Army March Out and noticed a sign saying Model Airshow so I decided to call in and try out my new Nikon 200-500mm F5.6 on my D7500.
A bit of a warm day so they is a bit of heat distortion going on but over all most of the photo's came out sharp plus I need the practice for next year Airshow in Avalon.

I know this thread is 2 years old, but hoping you are still here, @Davoxt I just ordered my new D7500 and am expecting it to arrive tomorrow.

Two questions, please:

1) What focusing setup were you using to take these photos? 3D or Group, by any chance?

2) What is the unusual plane in the middle of the series with the tag b3c ?

Thanks.

So, how was the Avalon Airshow? I knew some folks who flew a USAF B-52 from the US to Avalon (over 20 years ago) and they were treated wonderfully. They were all very happey that they got to participate.

I wasn't surprised because every American I've ever talked to who has visited Australia loved the experience.
