Remote on Duration (ML-L3) Limit too Short

I like to use the ML-L3 Remote - a great little tool - but find I often require longer than 15 minutes for my shoots - family gatherings/night-time pics etc.

Is there any way to set the duration to other than the 1, 5, 10 & 15 minutes noted under C5 in the Custom Settings Menu?

    Thanks!

    …John

I think you're going to need an intervalometer; such as a Vello Shutterboss, or something similar.

Get an RF remote instead. I use a Pixel TW 282.

He doesn't need an intervalometer. He needs the camera to stay on more than 15 minutes so he can use the ML-L3 remote.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This is what I ended up buying to achieve better results than the ML-L3

    Appreciate the advice.

I do not require wireless control of flash units - just the ability to use a remote shutter release over a prolonged period of time.

Can one use flash if the Pixel Receiver is on the camera's hot-shoe?

What about the Nikon WR-T10 which connects to the camera's accessory port?

Do either of these units have a duration limitation (such as the ML-L3?

You don't have to mount it on the shoe. It's just convenient there. But it can dangle by the cord if need be.

The Pixel doesn't because you aren't setting the camera to Remote. If the camera goes to sleep, pushing the remote will wake it up, just like pressing the shutter button on the camera itself.

Additionally, and the biggest benefit to me is that it's NOT an optical trigger, it's a radio trigger, so the range is far longer than the ML-L3... I set mine up outside and can sit in the house looking out a window and trigger the camera...

Plus it works flawlessly outside, even in bright sunlight.

Which the Shutterboss does quite nicely. The Pixl and the Shutterboss even look strikingly similar...
