    Shutter speed

Dont know if its something I have done but on both my D700 and D750 the shutter speed changes in the shutter priority mode when I change the speed in Manual mode and vice versa.
I dont recall that happening before?

    Welcome aboard. Enjoy the ride.
We look forward to seeing more posts and samples of your work.

This is normal. As soon as you change to Manual Mode, you move out of Shutter Priority Mode. You can't be in both modes at the same time.

I'm not quite sure I fully understand, but when you are in Shutter Priority, it is its own mode (as is Aperture Priority and Manual Mode). What this means is when you switch from Shutter Priority to Manual Mode, your bodies will remember the last used shutter speed when in Manual Mode. The shutter speed from Shutter Priority won't carry over to Manual Mode (or to any other mode). In other words, each Mode will remember the last used settings when you were in that particular mode. Not sure if that addresses your issue, but that's the way I'm reading your issue.

Thats the issue, When I change the shutter speed in manual mode, I find that it has changed the shutter speed when I return to shutter priority to what ever speed i had selected in manual mode.

That's how it works with my D750, D500, D610, and D7200. As far as I can remember having switched between modes, it's always been this way.
