during my last hiking trip, I experienced an issue with the shutter of my D750 and I ended up carrying an useless camera plus objectives during 2 days. Looking on internet when back in the Netherlands, I could identify that this was a recurrent issue on D750's that many other customers had experienced. Some of the cameras have been recalled but not all. Unfortunately, mine was not on the recall list.
When I contacted Nikon Customer Service in the country where I live (Netherlands), the answer I got was kind of shocking for me. They stated that as the camera had not an European Serial Number, they could not help me any futher. As customer of an international brand, I did not expect to have to face a different service depending on where I bought the camera. The only thing they propose to me is to pay 50 euros to get my camera back without repair, and 400 euros to have it repaired. They also offer me to just forget about my camera and let it to them for free.
Has anyone had the same problem with Nikon Customer Service? Do you have any idea to contact Nikon Global customer service?
