Hello there lovely cmmunity. As I was shooting today with my d750 I got a card error (E). This was the first time that something like that hitted me.
At the beginning I was not sure which card was causing the problem (I always shoot with two cards, with the second card being the backup).
I always bring extra cards so continue shooting was not the problem.
For some reason I tried the following, I just swapped the two cards (so second card became the primary and the primary card the secondary).
The error message dissapeared and I was able to continue shooting throught the day.
Did you ever had any similar problem?
Regards

It's happened to me. I re-seated both cards and got on with life.

I have had this now and again on both my D750 bodies - I wandered if it is linked to a 3rd party battery? - I turn it off, take the batteries out, put them back in and valla back to normal.
Popping the SDs out and back in doesn't work for me.
I'd say this happens every 4k photos for me eomething like that.

do you think this is caused by the cards or the writing system of the camera?
If reseating the cards eliminates the error then it seems pretty obvious to me there was some kind of breakdown in communication between card and camera, but unless it happens with some degree of regularity there's no way to tell what caused it. Speculate all you want but everyone has an off day once in a while.

If it DOES start to happen regularly then the first thing I would do is pull both cards, mark them as unusable, put them aside and try two new cards. If the problem continues while using the new cards then you're probably looking at a problem with the camera; if not, you probably have a bad card.
