Re: AF Focus Mode and Area Controls

I have tried several. Since I did the factory reset, I'm locked at AF-A mode and auto-area AF. Thanks again for your thoughts.

Following these steps you can not get the camera to use any other setting other than AC-C with 51 points, is that correct?

If you are stuck in AF-A, then I'm not sure you can make a whole lot of changes to the other setting(s). If the button that Horoscope Fish pointed out doesn't change when it's pressed in (while rotating the dial), then unfortunately I think you are simply stuck with the settings you've got. It sounds more like that button is the culprit here.

Unfortunately, I sounds like your camera will need to go to the camera doctor.

To those who have responded to my issue, thanks for your input and concern. My camera has been repaired(I think) by Nikon and returned to Delaware Camera in Buffalo, where I had taken it. Six weeks and $350. I guess I'll keep it for awhile.
