I was was out the other night and took a number of shots of the lunar eclipse with my D7000 and a 200mm lens. The images came out dark with the exception of the sliver of white on the moon that wasn't in the eclipse. The preview looked fine when imaging.
When transferred to Photoshop and when I clicked on Auto Tone, the colors on the eclipsed portion of the moon returned, albeit the wrong colors. Further Photoshop adjustments didn't correct the color. Again when imaging,
the eclipsed colors were correct (redish-orange).
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.
