Hey everyone! I am Very new to photography. I just got a D7100. My question is how big can a blow up a print of a photograph taken at say ISO 400 from my D7100? I am taking some photos of a friends weddig this summer and was hoping to maybe have a photo printed on canvas for her.

1 thing I will recommend to you. use a fast shutter speed. you wont notice the movement when you enlarge to an 10x15, but when youll go larger you will immediately notice it.

and you could shoot iso 1250 if you wanted, good glass has a much bigger impact on the IQ final outcome.

dont forget to get your exposure right or even just a tad over exposed (1/3-1/2 stop)

and yes the D7100 can do large prints just fine. we do double page wedding album spreads with 12mp ff cameras and it looks great

Find your printer first and find out what they want the image in ..probably not RAW. so can you make a sharp JPEG from a RAW or best let the camera do it . PPPPPP.
Remember all Nikons come out the factory soft in terms of JPEG about +3 so experiment with some shots at +6 and +9 and see what you think is best.
You will find a post on best workflow for traveling in D7100 read that.
