D7100 Back Button Focus question

Hello,

I shoot with a D7100 and set it to back button focus. The problem I have is I accidently bump the white balance button (with m nose) "laughs" and while making adjustments accidently change the white balance. Is there a way to lock the white balance button o this does not happen when using back button focus?

Sounds like your camera is set to make changes even after letting go of the WB button or other buttons. You can fix this in the Custom Settings Menu under "f" Controls, "f6" Release Button to Use Dial. Try setting that to NO.

This means you have to continuously hold other buttons, too, while making adjustments, but it should prevent accidental changes to WB unless your nose is keeping the button pressed in while you are fiddling with the command wheel.
