Hi ISO NR Setting

I experimented with this setting today and was really please and surprised at the results. I set it to the Normal setting not really knowing what to expect. I had set the ISO to 100 and soon found I was getting a wild variety of ISO setting...anywhere from 200 to 1250! It was a sunny day and I was at a lakeshore at about 7PM. Here are some results with no other post work with my 60mm 2.8 micro. Has anyone else used this feature?

I enabled High ISO Noise Reduction, but I'm unclear on why you say you were getting varying ISO's if you had your ISO set to 200... Are you sure you're not confusing High ISO Noise Reduction with Auto ISO?

No..I made sure auto ISO was off...The only variable I could find that was changing the ISO setting was this feature. That's why I'm puzzled

If you had ISO set to 200, and auto ISO off, all your pictures would be shot at 200 ISO. Time to re-check your settings! :)

ISO will not change by itself unless Auto ISO is on. At least not for any reason I know of unless you're shooting in AUTO mode. Something is up. Unfortunately, while we can see some of the EXIF data on uploaded images, we can't see enough to be able to try and decipher what might be going on.

OK...This is weird....I had the "ISO Display and adjustment" (Shooting Display D3) setting set to "Show ISO/Easy ISO". And it seems when this is set the rear command wheel adjusts ISO sensitivity which it seems sets ISO accordingly. I must have rotated that wheel instead of the front one while changing aperture. I've had the camera on Aperture priority the whole time and that means the front command wheel sets aperture....I think I'm just going to leave this feature alone for a while until I'm more clear on it's use. I'm leaving that setting set to "Show ISO Sensitivity" because I like seeing my current ISO in the viewfinder, which that seems to do.
