Very nice, could do with some of the nice hot weather as it's gone a little chilly over here, first day I have had to pop the heating on ...

A few years ago I worked for a weekly classic car paper covering the local car shows ...

Rural areas don't get many cars but we do have an occasional show.

Unfortunately, they always park them too darn close together.

That was one thing I found a bit difficult. Why do they do that? There were quite a few photographers out there and all of them were struggling to overcome that issue. It's neat to see the cars and appreciate all the diligent work that it took to restore these old classics. But a bit of a challenge to get the proper perspective when they are packed in like sardines.

I think a lot of it involves the space provided. Around here, it's mostly a "Cruze In" where people bring what they have. No prizes or trophys. Just to show off. Here, the local WalMart offers a parking area on the side of their building. Nice area for showing off your ride.

Saturday, there was a $500 prize for best in show so take that small parking area and double the nuber of cars that normally show up and it becomes nothing more than a parking lot.
