Hello all! Been a D50 user for the last 6 years and since my wife finally had enough of me whining for a new camera, I just bought a new D7000! Wow this camera is leaps and bounds better than my D50 (I still have love for the old girl though, 28k shots will do that :) )
Anyway, just thought I would introduce myself and post one of the few pics I have taken so far.

Can't wait to hear some more insight on this wonderful camera and learn from y'all here.

Welcome! You'll love your D7k just like I've grown to love it in the few weeks I've owned it. An amazing camera.
And welcome to this amazing place, where no question is to silly, and answer flow like fresh spring water into a lake of knowlege.
Well, maybe not that last part. But your camera is definitely an awesome piece of hardware :)

Awesome choice. Thats a real masterpiece. A month ago when I created thread about which DSLR should I opt for, I received suggestions to my surprise. That thread was crazy with so many posts and suggestions :)

Eventually, I stretched my budget beyond my capability to lay hands on this Cam. Enjoy it every moment. I now carry it with me all the time, except to office where this is prohibited for security reasons.

Good luck and keep shooting :)
